The AVE (avenue) stem is unique; it is the ONLY stem  that incorporates  a  45 - degree upper headset compression ring to the body of the stem.
This unique feature makes for a super-flush fit between the stem and the frame without lowering your bars any further than a traditional front load/drop stem.
This compression feature provides a more exacting fit between the stem and frame. This application keeps your headset tighter and rolling smoother. Out are the small pieces like compression rings, dust caps and spacers.
